BELLO Style Caroline Daur

Caroline Daur definitely puts the globe in globetrotter. At only 22 years old and only after 2 short years of the release of her now incredibly famous blog, the German fashion influencer travels the world as one of the industry’s most sought after talent, not only as one of the industry’s most notable “It girls” and an avid front row Fashion Week guest, but also as a model, having graced over 6 shows of mega brand Dolce & Gabanna. The collaboration with the brand doesn’t stop at the catwalk, as Caro is currently the face of D&G Beauty, showcasing her love and most of all talent for all things make up and fashion. Her unique sense of style and a knack for making street styling seem effortless (as seen on her instagram account) has brought her numerous collaborations with brands such as Gucci, Vetements, Levi’s and MAC.

Traveling for more than 300 days out of the year, you can spot Caro having a meeting at Soho House in Los Angeles and the next day in Hamburg for a photoshoot. She is the definition of the self-made millennial, using a mix of social media day-to-day journalism and entrepreneurship to show its audience that in our current world you can wrangle your own destiny without an agent or manager, as long as you work as hard as she does.

It was amazing that you got to walk the Dolce and Gabbana fashion show. How was the experience and what did you take from it?

Caroline: Like you said it was AMAZING. Stefano and Domenico are such lovely people. Through this experience I made great friends and I saw backstage how much work goes into only one show. I am so grateful for this adventure and that they make me feel like being part of a family.

Are there any runway shows you are looking forward to this year?

Caroline: If so, what are they and why? Are you walking any of them?I always loved to walk for Dolce&Gabbana. Maybe another time? Lets see 🙂

What is the most rewarding part of being an influencer?

Caroline: That so many people follow your path and support you. I have great followers who are so lovely and I also love to meet them in person.

Do you think social media has effected this generation positively or negatively and why?

Caroline: I think it depends. When your life is only happening on social media and you are not enjoying  „real life“ it is really bad. But when you have a balance social media is such a great opportunity to express yourself and connect with people all around the world.

Can you tell us about your favorite experience you have had traveling the world thus far?

Caroline: I think the greatest experience was the Olympic Games in Rio. It was another world. So inspiring, seeing so many cultures from all around coming together. I had goosebumps during the Opening Ceremony.

Do you have a favorite destination?

Caroline: If so, where is it about how often do you visit? My favorite destination is definitely LA! It feels a little bit like home when I´m there.

What are you most excited about coming up in 2018? Do you have any big plans for the year?

Caroline: I started acting classes in LA a few months ago…I played theatre for 3 years. It was always my dream to be an actor. So lets see. Its a new challenge for me! But now the fashion weeks are starting. There I have my focus on at the moment. After the fashion weeks I will plan more!
