The global pop star releases his fourth studio album alongside “FF,” a dreamy love song about a man he has yet to meet.
Troye Sivan is ready to fall in love with someone he hasn’t even met yet. The global pop star has released his fourth studio album, She’s the Best, via Interscope Records, alongside his new single “FF” and its hazy, cinematic music video filmed on Fire Island.
Written and produced with Jack Antonoff, George Daniel, Cirkut, Madison Love, Leland, and Jasper Harris, “FF” explores the loneliness of waiting for a love that hasn’t arrived. For Sivan, it’s an unabashed love song that transforms longing into something almost euphoric.
“It’s an undying love song to a man I don’t know yet,” Sivan explains. “It might sound like a vow, but it’s really a wish.”
Directed by longtime collaborator Gordon von Steiner, the video captures intimate moments between Sivan and the man at the center of the song, moving through Fire Island’s beaches and interiors in a dreamy portrait of desire and possibility. The setting adds another layer of meaning, with Fire Island, particularly Cherry Grove and the Fire Island Pines, holding a longstanding place in LGBTQ+ culture as a space for freedom, creativity, and self-expression.

The Beauty of Wanting Something More
Across its 12 tracks, She’s the Best moves between the euphoric highs of recent years and the solitude that can hide beneath them. While the title track celebrates the women and femme people who have shaped Sivan’s life, “Party” captures the freedom of nightlife. Other songs turn inward, exploring desire, uncertainty, and the quiet moments that follow the excitement.
Sivan describes the album as a painting of his life, filled with different moods and colors. After the global success of Something to Give Each Other, which delivered hits including “Rush,” “One of Your Girls,” and “Got Me Started,” the artist found himself returning to empty hotel rooms and confronting the isolation behind life on tour.
The result is what he calls an “almost uncomfortably true picture” of that period.
A New Creative Chapter
The album also marks Sivan’s first time taking on a producer role. Recording much of his vocals from his home office, he returned to the freedom of making music in his bedroom as a kid, while pushing himself to create something distinctly his own.
“I wanted to make something that only I could make,” he says.
Following Something to Give Each Other, which debuted in the Billboard 200’s Top 5 and has accumulated more than 2.2 billion global streams, She’s the Best opens a more introspective chapter for the artist. Across music, fashion, film, and culture, Sivan has built a career defined by experimentation and a willingness to explore different sides of himself.

With “FF,” he captures a feeling that is both deeply personal and universally recognizable: the hope that somewhere, somehow, the person you’re waiting for is out there, too.
She’s the Best is out now via Interscope Records. “FF” and its official music video are available now.
