John Legend Returns With His New Studio Album ‘Bigger Love’
Legendary singer and songwriter John Legend is back with a brand new studio album titled, Bigger Love. This makes Legend’s sixth studio album after the success of 2016’s Darkness and Light, which subsequently allowed the singer to take a break from releasing any new albums, in order to focus on his Darkness and Light World Tour.
His new album, Bigger Love, boasts 16 brand new tracks, and was actually made prior to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as well as the most recent protests that have erupted in support of ending systemic racism, social injustice, and justice for the murder of George Floyd.
In an Instagram post to promote his latest album, the 41-year old singer said:
“This project has been a labor of love for me, something I’ve spent over a year conceiving and creating. I poured my heart and soul into these songs and collaborated with some incredibly gifted co-writers, producers and musicians…the songs are inspired by the loves of my life: my wife, my family and the rich tradition of black music that has made me the artist I am…this album is a celebration of love, joy, sensuality, hope, and resilience, the things that make our culture so beautiful and influential.”
The album also recruits fellow artists Jhené Aiko, Koffee, Rapsody, Gary Clark Jr., and Camper.
