Mandeep Dhillon

Starring as a lead on CSI: Vegas, Mandeep Dhillon is soaring high in the world of TV! Having the time of her life on set, being able to take on the role of her character is a dream come true. The chemistry between the cast and crew is strong and there are times where Mandeep is reminded of home! Currently developing a series, there are some exciting things coming for Mandeep Dhillon and we are excited to continue following her on her journey!

Share with us what it is like being a lead on CSI: Vegas. What do you believe you must bring to the scenes more than other characters?

Being a lead on CSI Vegas is wonderful. I get to bring this amazing character to life and play someone who does all these cool scientific experiments, it’s a lot of fun.

What inspired you to audition for the show?

It all started with a self-tape request sent from my team back in August 2020. I remember reading the character bio which was pretty detailed, and thinking ’Allie seems cool and pretty badass.’ I love her background and what drives her, there is more to her than meets the eye and that’s exciting.

On set, who do you connect with the most? What have you learned from the cast/crew?

On set I connect with everyone — literally everyone! Obviously, the cast is amazing, and Matt Lauria and I are actual best friends so that’s wonderful to work with your bestie. The crew on this season has been amazing, they work so hard to get the job done and always do it with a smile.  Some of the crew are British, so I loved that. If I ever missed home I would go have a chat and it would feel like I was back in London.

Growing up, what was your favorite game to play/activity?

Growing up I loved badminton and swimming. It’s funny, I used to forge my mum’s signature to get myself out of P.E in school UNLESS they were playing badminton, then I would suddenly be absolutely fine to participate that day! I spent a lot of time as a child in the swimming pool too, I used to compete in Gala’s.

You were also in Ricky Gervais’ “After Life” for Netflix for 2 seasons. Tell us more about that.

After Life was a beautiful project to be a part of and playing Sandy was one of the most honest performances I’ve ever given. I remember being at Ricky’s Christmas party one year, and he said ‘I have a role for you that I want you to play’ he sort of told me the jist of the show, but mainly just said ‘your character cries a lot.’ I was like ‘great!’ Haha. But being on set, it was amazing to work with Ricky on some emotional scenes, he is truly a great actor.

Is there anything most people don’t know about you?

I am currently developing a series with a big streamer and I can’t wait for the world to see it.

What do you believe your purpose is?

To live life to its fullest. As far as we know, we only have one life, which is pretty short if you look at how long the world has been here. So I feel like my main purpose is to live my life fully and have no regrets. If I can help someone else to live their life fully too, then I’ll be happy with that. Spread love and be the light.
