GG Townson is killing it in the entertainment industry. Having recently starred in the BET+seriesSacrifice, the talented and gorgeous actress plays a musician role, something we also saw her play in Lifetime’sSalt-N-Pepa biopic. We may be seeing a new artist emerge soon. Very much into fitness and keeping her body, mind, and soul aligned, GG Townson inspires us to do so as well!

Tell us about your character Jameson in Sacrifice?

Ms. Jameson Howard is a piece of work, honey! She is all about her business and will stop at nothing to get it done. She’s committed to her goals as talented artist and a savvy business woman.

What would you like to see happen for your character if there is a season 2?

I would love to explore the family business that Jameson comes from. I believe that would be a really dope storyline to dive into.

What is one crazy fact that no one knows about you?

Well, I wouldn’t say this is crazy, but one fact about me most people don’t know is that before getting into acting and entertainment, my path started as a figure skater.

If you could work with any actor who would it be and why?

I mean—wow—to pick just one is absolute torture, but one actress that I would totally fangirl over if I was granted the opportunity to work with them would be Angelina Jolie. I’ve been a fan of her work for such a long time.

Your characters Jameson in Sacrifice and Salt in the Salt-N-Pepa biopic are both musicians. Would you be interested in pursuing a music career in the future?

Yes, I would actually. Maybe at some point within the next year or so I’ll put out a music project and see how it’s received.

What’s your favorite Salt-N-Pepa song and why?

My favorite song is “None of Your Business.” I love this song because I live by the lyrics.

We see you are into fitness? What is your weekly routine?

Yes, getting consistent with my fitness routine started when we were all on lockdown and I needed things to keep me busy. I go to the gym between 3-5 times a week depending on my schedule and work out with my trainer G. Washington for about 2 hours, sometimes longer.

What is your favorite quote?

“This is chess, not checkers.”

What are your favorite must-have brands? Or if you could be a celebrity ambassador for any brand what would it be?

My must have skin care system is Urban Skin Rx. I swear by it and turn everyone I know on to it. I would love to be a brand ambassador! Who knows, maybe one day.

What is your favorite recipe that you make?

I have so many recipes I love to make so it is hard to just pick one, but I’ll say the one dish that I make for the most people at once would have to be my mac and cheese. I have now been dubbed the mac-and-cheese-maker for all of the family events.

You are an L.A native. Where is your favorite spot where you would take any visitors?

My personal favorite food spots to take visitors would be Leo’s Tacos Truck or Dino’s Chicken.

Best advice you have been given?

Try not to stress in this entertainment world. What is for you will be for you, and not even YOU can mess that up.

What would your dream role be?

My dream role would be to play Cleopatra and have Ava DuVernay direct it.
