You’re currently starring in the second season of Goosebumps on Disney+. Can you share what it’s been like joining this anthology series and how your character fits into the overall narrative?
Joining Goosebumps has been such a surreal experience. It’s an iconic franchise with so much history, and being part of its legacy is really special. My character, Frankie, is a hardworking and ambitious Brooklyn native who’s juggling a lot—her rocky relationship, saving up for college, and stepping up to support her single mom. With her dad out of the picture, she’s had to grow up fast, which makes her such a layered and relatable character.
She’s also Latina and speaks Spanish in the show, which was really important to me. You don’t always see that kind of representation in mainstream media, so getting to play a bilingual character felt really personal. In the friend group, Frankie is the realist. She questions things, hesitates before diving into danger, and helps balance out the more impulsive personalities. But even though she’s cautious, she always comes through for her friends when it counts.

Goosebumps Season 2 just dropped on January 10th. What can fans expect from this season, and why do you think it’s a must-watch?
This season has something for everyone, whether you’re a longtime Goosebumps fan or totally new to the franchise. There are plenty of fun Easter eggs that nod to the classic books, but what makes this season special is that it works as its own standalone story. You don’t need to have read the books or even watched the first season to jump in.
Beyond the scares, there’s a lot of heart. The show explores friendships, family dynamics, and personal struggles in a way that feels real and relatable. The monsters represent the kinds of challenges teenagers deal with in real life, adding so much depth to the story.

You’ve had the opportunity to work with incredible actors like Ana Ortiz, David Schwimmer, Adam Scott, and Jennifer Garner. How has collaborating with such seasoned performers influenced your own acting approach?
Working with actors of that caliber is always such a privilege. You learn so much just by watching them and how they approach a scene. Being able to observe them, especially in those quieter moments when the cameras aren’t rolling, has really influenced my own approach to acting.
What really stands out to me is how invested they all were in creating a space where everyone feels comfortable to collaborate and explore. That level of commitment, especially from actors with so much experience, really reinforces the importance of humility and generosity on set. It reminds me of how important it is to stay open, to trust your instincts, and to give as much to the scene as you take from it.

What was your experience like on Party Down Season 3? Any memorable moments from working with Adam Scott and Jennifer Garner?
Being on Party Down was an amazing experience. The cast is insanely talented, and the energy on set was infectious. It’s one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen, and honestly, it felt like I was in an episode even when the cameras weren’t rolling.
Getting to share scenes with legends like Adam Scott, Jennifer Garner, and Nick Offerman was a real pinch-me moment. I stepped onto a set that had been laughing together for decades, yet somehow it was the most welcoming project I’ve worked on. You could really tell that everyone there genuinely loves what they do.

You made an appearance on Chicago Med in Season 8. What was it like stepping into a medical drama, and how did you prepare for the role?
I really wanted to make sure I portrayed my character’s struggles as authentically as possible. Thankfully, we had an on-set medic to guide us and make sure we were accurately depicting these real-life scenarios.
Maria Jimenez is a character that really stuck with me. She comes from a low-income family and is willing to sacrifice her own well-being for them, which hit close to home. Growing up in a tight-knit Latin family myself, I’ve seen firsthand the sacrifices people make for their loved ones. It was easy to connect with her because, honestly, in her situation, I’d probably do the same.

You’ve explored different genres, characters, and set experiences. How do you approach such diverse roles, and is there one that’s particularly close to your heart?
Diving into different worlds is probably my favorite part of my job, especially when I get to play characters that are very different from me. It’s up to the actor to choose how much of themselves to place into their role, and I try to place as little as possible. I think it’s more fun that way.
I recently had the privilege of working on Matlock and got to act alongside the legendary Kathy Bates. She’s an actress I’ve always admired. We shared some emotional scenes, and she was such a generous scene partner. Even with the fast-paced energy on set, she gave me the time and space to tap into those intense emotions. She even asked the entire set to be quiet while I was getting into character. I’ll never forget that moment.

Looking back, you started your career on Talia in the Kitchen on Nickelodeon. How did that experience shape your journey in the entertainment industry, and do you have any fun memories from that time?
I’m very grateful for my time on Nickelodeon. It was such an important stepping stone in my career. What made it even more special was filming in my hometown, Miami, and being surrounded by my people. Plus, I never had to give up my morning croquetas. It was also my first big project in the English-language market, which was a completely different experience from doing telenovelas.
Being on a TV show at such a young age was definitely challenging. We would have to work long hours while keeping up with schoolwork. But 12-year-old workaholic Gali always had a smile on her face. There was nothing else she would rather be doing (other than filming Vines that would never see the light of day). That whole experience really made me fall in love with the job, not just the dream.
With the Goosebumps anthology being all about thrills and scares, did you have any personal favorite horror stories or inspirations growing up?
I wasn’t really allowed to watch horror movies growing up, but I was obsessed with ’80s dark fantasy films. That was my dose of eerie and unsettling stories. However, the internet was a different story; no one was regulating what I watched there.
I grew up during the prime time of internet horror, so I got really into horror video games, creepypastas, and YouTube analog horror ARGs. That side of the internet was my real introduction to the genre, and it definitely shaped my love for all things creepy.

Acting aside, how do you unwind or relax when you’re not working? Are there any hobbies or rituals you swear by?
On my days off, you’ll probably catch me glued to my sewing machine. I’ve always been obsessed with fashion, so making my own clothes is something I really enjoy. Photography is another passion of mine. I thrifted my first film camera when I was 14, and it’s stuck with me ever since. Digital clutter tends to stress me out, so shooting on film just feels right.
But I’d say music is what takes up most of my free time. I’ve been songwriting since I was really young, so now my life consists of my sleep schedule being ruined by long nights on Ableton. I’m definitely the kind of person whose room is filled with unfinished creative projects. But I do think all my hobbies, in one way or another, teach me the importance of intentionality and the art of messing up.
Fashion plays a key part in an actor’s public image. How would you describe your personal style, and how do you feel fashion plays into the roles you portray on-screen?
Personal style is a huge part of self-expression for me. It definitely influences my mood and how I carry myself. I’m really drawn to darker aesthetics, so I’d describe my style as New Romantic, Victorian, theatrical, and slightly deteriorating.
Because fashion is so important to me in my personal life, I think wardrobe plays a huge role in getting into character when it comes to acting. I sometimes come onto a production with mood boards and love collaborating with the wardrobe department to really bring the character to life.
