Rosie McClelland: Tik Tok
A Billion Dollar App now a Million Views on YouTube
Teenage singer, influencer and Kids Choice Award-winner, Rosie McClelland returns in style with her new single, ‘Tik Tok’. Already seen by over a million views since its premiere date on May 29, the single Tik Tok (not to be confused in relation to the app) is a fun lively single sure to inspire young dancers everywhere. The ‘Teen Choice Web Star’’s two previous singles, ‘Handstand’ and ‘LaLa’, have together earned over 10 million streams and views online.
‘Tik Tok’ is a truly infectious pop smash, proclaiming every essence of the bubble-gum pop genre. The single expresses and embodies the irresistible urge to move your body to the beat, similar to and inspired by Meghan Trainor’s ‘All About That Bass’. ‘Tik Tok’ starts with cool, edgy lyrics in the verses, leading into a powerful, motivating catchy hook at its core, supported by big trumpets and synths.
The young British teen star has worked on a number of exciting projects all over the world, including staring in her own Warner Brothers feature film ‘Sophia Grace and Rosie’s Royal Adventure’ and being a regular guest on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’, within which she hosted red carpet interviews for The Grammy’s, MTV VMA and American Music Awards, in total appearing on more than 20 episodes. Rosie was discovered by Ellen after her cover of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Superbass’ went viral, and now has more than 2 million followers and more than 500 million views across her content.
