Two distinct design perspectives come together in a new five-style footwear capsule built around craftsmanship, versatility and a modern approach to the everyday shoe wardrobe.
There are collaborations that feel unexpected, and then there are those that simply make sense. The new Collegium x Everlane collection falls firmly into the latter.
For its latest footwear collaboration, Everlane has joined forces with Los Angeles-based label Collegium on a limited-edition capsule that brings together California design sensibility and Italian craftsmanship. Co-designed by Collegium founder and creative director Nick Sisombath and Cynthia Ng, Head of Design at Everlane, the collection launches September 23 with five genderless styles designed in Los Angeles and handmade in Italy.
At the heart of the collaboration is a shared appreciation for pieces made to transcend a single season. Collegium brings what it calls its “Heirloom Garments” perspective, a philosophy informed by luxury construction and sneaker culture, while Everlane contributes its familiar approach to modern, versatile wardrobe essentials.
The result is less about creating one statement shoe and more about building an entire footwear wardrobe.
Five Shoes, One Modern Wardrobe
Each of the five silhouettes interprets a familiar footwear category through a more considered lens.
The Pista ($240) is a streamlined, low-profile driver sneaker, while The Court III ($265) looks to classic army trainers for inspiration. For something more polished, The Stretched Loafer ($289) plays with proportion through an elongated silhouette, and The Moc Toe Derby ($289) gives everyday dressing a more substantial profile. Completing the collection, The Summit Boot ($379) references traditional hiking footwear with an elevated finish.
Clean lines, premium leathers and Italian construction connect the five designs, but their genderless approach leaves room for each silhouette to take on a different personality depending on who wears it and how it is styled.
That adaptability was an important part of the design process.
“Nick has such a specific understanding of footwear, how people collect it, live in it and develop a relationship with it over time,” says Cynthia Ng, Head of Design at Everlane. She explains that the teams approached the project as an opportunity to create a complete shoe wardrobe, considering everything from proportion and materials to construction and how each style would actually be worn.
For Sisombath, the collaboration also meant introducing Collegium’s point of view to a broader wardrobe. “We took the best silhouettes of Collegium and designed it for the existing and new Everlane customer together,” he says.
From Los Angeles to Italy
Perhaps what we love most about the collaboration is the meeting of places and perspectives behind it. There’s a distinctly Los Angeles spirit to the collection, relaxed, individual and unconstrained by traditional ideas of how something “should” be worn—paired with the craftsmanship of Italian footwear production.
Rather than designing around menswear or womenswear, Collegium and Everlane have created shoes intended to move between personal styles, occasions and wardrobes. A loafer can feel minimal one day and directional the next; a hiking-inspired boot can be practical or become the unexpected counterpoint to a more polished look.
It reflects the way many of us actually dress now: mixing categories, references and proportions rather than following a single uniform.
And that may ultimately be the strongest part of Collegium x Everlane. These are recognizable silhouettes, but reconsidered just enough to make them feel new and designed with the intention that they’ll become more personal the longer they’re worn.
Collegium x Everlane launches September 23, 2026, exclusively at Everlane stores and online.
