Statement Paris Unveils Its First Jewellery Portrait with Beauty Visionary Violette Serrat

June 24, 2026 Alexandra Tuil

When jewelry becomes a portrait, it transcends adornment and enters the realm of storytelling. For its latest creation, Statement Paris introduces an intimate new concept: the Jewellery Portrait, a limited-edition series imagined by founder and creative director Amélie Huynh as a deeply personal interpretation of a muse.

For the inaugural edition, Huynh turns to someone who has been part of Statement’s journey from the very beginning: Violette Serrat, the celebrated makeup artist, entrepreneur, and founder of VIOLETTE_FR.

More than a collaboration, this collection is a tribute to friendship, femininity, and the many dimensions of modern womanhood. Through sculptural forms and carefully chosen materials, Huynh captures the essence of a woman she admires, one who embodies strength, creativity, ambition, and authenticity.

The collection’s signature motif takes the shape of a pear, a symbol chosen for its organic curves and unapologetic sensuality. Neither perfectly symmetrical nor conventionally polished, the form celebrates the beauty of individuality and the richness of feminine expression. It is a reminder that true elegance often lies in imperfection.

Hand-carved from ebony in a Parisian workshop, each piece possesses its own character. The deep black wood, long associated with protection, resilience, and grounding energy, brings warmth and emotional depth to the designs. Delicate spheres of 18-karat gold appear to float across the surface, creating a striking contrast between softness and strength, structure and spontaneity.

The motif is presented in a pair of earrings and a necklace suspended from a 65-centimeter gold chain, transforming a simple silhouette into a powerful personal statement.

For Huynh, the project emerged naturally. Serrat was the first woman to wear Statement’s iconic My Way ring and has remained closely connected to the brand ever since. Rather than designing a traditional collaboration, Huynh envisioned something more intimate—a jewel that could serve as a portrait.

“I don’t paint portraits,” she explains, “but I know how to create jewelry.”

That philosophy resonates deeply with Serrat’s own approach to beauty. Through VIOLETTE_FR, she has built a brand centered on individuality and self-expression, encouraging people to embrace what makes them unique rather than conforming to conventional standards.

The connection between beauty and jewelry becomes a central theme of the collection. Both are often dismissed as superficial, yet both possess the ability to transform how a person feels. A favorite lipstick, a cherished ring, or a meaningful necklace can become a daily ritual of confidence, empowerment, and self-celebration.

In many ways, the Jewellery Portrait reflects this idea perfectly. It is not simply about creating something beautiful, it is about capturing an energy, a presence, and a story.

With this first Jewellery Portrait, Statement Paris introduces a new chapter that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant. Through ebony, gold, and artisanal craftsmanship, Amélie Huynh offers more than jewelry; she offers a lasting tribute to the women who inspire us and the strength found within their individuality.
